Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

More layoffs

Well Fond du Lac, WI office just received word today that there were more layoffs. We have had 3 occasions of layoffs in the last year! Now more than ever people are fearing their jobs. More claims are getting sent over to Accenture who can't process a claim correctly to save their sole. So, let's pay these people less to screw up our claims and have to do them more than once but get rid of the people who know what the heck they are doing?!

And another thing about the fondy office, first off don't apply there and second off if you do and you get Melissa W as a manager in claims, RUN!!! She micro-manages, shows who her favorites are and is pretty much known as Hitler to most of the team. She shows absolutely no empathy towards anyone. She singles people out and if she doesn't like you, you know it because she delays your progression. And trying to get work at home with her is a joke and a half. She will do whatever she can to drag that out! She talks to her employees like they are 2 year olds. Tells you to come to her with any questions or concerns and when you do, she belittles you. It's sickening!!!

All in all, this company is crap. Don't even bother applying here. The health insurance is mediocre. You'd think working for them, you'd have the best insurance....wrong! It's not that great. I've seen way better blue cross plans out there!!

I completely agree with you! They shove that rod up our us more and more every year. This year was the all time worst. They lose Cigna so who pays for it? The employees. And now they have Accenture doing the majority of our work...and want them to do it all at some point?! Bye bye all jobs. It's sickening. They preach they are all for their employees but that's a huge load of crap. I've been watching the job market to get the hell outta this crap-hole!! Management is a whole different story too!

What i got out of all these town halls they've been having is "be flexible while we shove this rod further". Increase your output but maintain quality. But as my father always says "one or the other; you cannot have both." You can have either a quality product done slowly or a half-* product sped thru quickly. Be flexible and make up for the load of people we're about to lay off...because we are expecting double the membership but we don't want to spend the 90mil per year we already spend on your department. Disgusting.
