Well, to be fair, complaining about a lack of extrinsic motivation is somewhat whiny when the intrinsic motivation has been completely destroyed as well. It's like "Hey, my job s---s, my manager s---s, his manager s---s and his manager s---s as well. But if I had free access to a fitness center, that would be pretty rad."

Pension plan is gone

Plaques have been gone a long, long time. It wasn't so much of a cost savings (although it did save money), but more a decisions the admins made about not doing it anymore. We saw way too many still sitting in the boxes on desks. A lot of people didn't care much about them. I was one of the admins that voted we stop due to that and saving the material. I figured we could save a lot of trees. Most people only cared about the money anyway.

But I will tell you of a cost savings that got the admins all in an uproar. One day we came in to find all the wall clocks gone. We were like... 'Where did they go?". We looked into it and told it was a cost savings of batteries (WTF?!?!) and the man hours to change them annually. We told them to put them back and we'd be responsible for the battery changing. LOL They did but that was WAY before TW3. It was back in the SET days. Once TW3 hit they were gone forever. I didn't argue at that point because I didn't give a sh*t anymore. I just wanted out. I was so sick and tired of all the BS.

Conferences like DTTC, IDF cancelled, probably never to come again.

SSL3/5 only for grades 6 and below, pretty much a pass/fail grade at the moment.

SRA DRA Project Plaques have been gone for years

Haha. Yes intel is full of overpaid unskilled whiners. Myself and all of my underpaid skilled friends in intel were all gone in the past two years. We all want to see those unskilled, especially those with no ethic, managers get fired someday.
