Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Fear and stress rule here

I left Centene a few month ago after two years there, and I am only regretting not leaving sooner. The work environment is the absolute worst of all the places I have worked at. Managers are treating people like trash, yelling at them, publicly humiliating and ridiculing them, writing them up for non-existent offenses... Everybody is constant state of fear and stress, and it's affecting peoples' health! I truly feel sorry for my friends who are still working there...

A friend just started and she said her job is nothing that they said in the interview.

They just gave another promotion to someone in my group, who is so unqualified, they just keep moving him from one manager to another.
Meanwhile, everyone else has to do his work!
This place is crazy!

I work at WellCare - hey - the environment is the same down here. I started in June just last year, coming from the hospital environment. I have been called in to these 1:1 meetings and now had my job threatened for pointless reasons, twice now since November. I am now looking for an external job. This is not the environment I intended to work in. Nor will I. I fully expect to be fired.

I was just laid off and know two others that were after 9 years.
When key people leave, mgrs just say someone else will take their place.
And you almost need a separate person to learn each new company they buy!
What happened to conversions of new data into the current system?

Filed a complaint with the EEOC and a month later I was fired without cause. If you're used to being the whipping boy and can keep your mouth shut, then be thankful you still have your job. If you think you're above being fired, just wait another month. Leave when you can and never make a deal with this scum. If you think they don't treat Medicaid recipients fairly why would they ever treat you fairly?

I've worked for Centene for almost 3yrs and I absolutely love it. I too have had a supervisor that was a bit bipolar and would freak out at times but I think you find that in every company. Now I am not a nurse and I do know the demand for assessment and completing the forms in a timely manner is pushed but only because there are timeframes to adhere too. State doesn't wait around for Centene to post forms whenever they feel like it. The point system regarding absences is a bit much however, if you don't have a problem with absences it shouldn't affect you. I'm really sorry you all had a bad experience. But I will say again I Love my job
