Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Seagate going downhill

Future is bad for Seagate; low volume demand, debts too much to payoff, change of seagate president, no more prospect, layoff going soon, no more package. Bad very bad

Well, we could have been sold to Micron at one point and had a chance to compete if not for greed and arrogance at the top. Little known secret. You've seen all our executives talk trash about WD and all the other flash companies being not good enough to partner with Seagate out in the open at the meetings. No humility whatsoever. All this crap about knocking out WD. Childish.

Are the other seagate plant/factory managers globally as arrogant, aggressive, vindictive and downright bullies as they are here in Derry? Also are the HR departments as incompetent aswell?

Whether Seagate going down or up, part of our life. Restructuring part of business, move one if being lay off. Lastly enjoy the year end D&D, LOL

STX's weak competitive position, as attested by its current market cap of ~40% that of WDC's (~$28B), plus the fact that it doesn't seem to have any revolutionary new product/technology to offer going forward (perennially "soon-to-be-released," cost-innefective reliability nightmare known as HAMR has no future), lend support to OP's statement: "Seagate going downhill"....Sad!
