My #1 complaint about Anthem is layoffs, they happen all the time and at least one time every year. Some groups have mulitiple layoffs, so it's hard to have any stability when you know you may be laid off. Also, I do not know why we do constant reorganizations, every year things change and move around without any apparent reason.
In my group there is a non-stop state of confusion due to all the changes in healthcare (I suspect all managed care organizations are dealing with this with all the changes and mergers - we'll see what happens here - I see UHC has a lively board here as well)...
Finally, how come that I get better healthcare through the company from my spouse's insurance than working for Anthem - now, that's a paradox - would not we need to have the best possible health insurance of all companies - why so bad?
The management should change the approach and Invest in our workforce... If they are planning to lay people off in one area, managers should make every effort to retrain folks affected and find them a fit in another area...
I had to squeeze this one in as well - managers should work hard to build a consistent environment that works based on Merit... You can't deny OPW for one person when you have others on the same team that you allow to do so
