So all of these people are being laid off and there is nothing in the news at 12:33? Seems a little strange to me.

Numbers is not high enough to warrant a press release or national report unless it gets leaked to the local news and then blows up
Do you expect it to be picked up on by CNN or something? When Microsoft cuts thousands of jobs it gets a minor comment on tv.

I work at one of the regional sites and know of 8 people so far who got let go today.
