Had a manager unexpectedly let go last week. Remote employees are left in the dark about any new happenings. Can we expect another round of lay offs? Any particular departments to be concerned? Coders?

This was from the New York office. We didn't lose any from our department, that I'm aware of, when we merged to the NewCo.
Which BPS office did the manager work for? If you have most of any function (coding, data entry, customer service or AR follow-up) onshore still expect positions to be moved offshore. Not ALL of any function will move, but in offices where not much has been sent to India, be prepared for that to change. This should not be a secret. Poor management keeps people wondering what's next and then the same execs wonder why morale is poor in some offices. The truth is always better than the worst fears.
