Everything go well after another 20% cut in January and Closing Of DotHill. Start looking fir a job! Especially if you are in visa! You have 45 days to leave the country.

Xyratex supplied the HD test equipment to seagate and wd. This scuppered was for a bit.. Good move. Seagate removed that Xyratex department.. Bad move . The result was a collapse in support which has caused issues with hdd. The Xyratex enclosure /rack business was well respected with customers and a good business to be in. Seagate then closed/moved departments. This resulted in a collapse of support and upsetting customers..... So, was it bad management by Xyratex (who had few people in high up positions) or was it dothill /seagate management..? . You decide.
Buying Xyratex was an amazing opportunity for Seagate.....the $800million Seagate got from WD was waisted on buying DH...
They at the top have no clue how to run any business. The core HDD business is collapsing and failing and it will show up in the books next year. They canned the smart ones that knew what they were doing and replaced them with people totally unqualified to run a donut shop.
Buying a company that totally can't use the test equipment, another wrong decision that made by the top!!!!
Buying Xyratex was right up there with buying Evault.... dumb--s upper mgmt destroyed Seagate.
No-one from Xyratex is bitter....we got paid a tonne of $$$ to leave a 2 bob company that had no clue..almost everyone walked out and was in a new job within a few days....
