Hi folks looks like Intel is forming new division which will be working directly with big clients. So called RSD Direct. They ll be producing own hardware and software for cloud and enterprise. Any news whats this? Think partners like HP or (on the other end) Huawei not happy and move to non Intel arch?

Confirmed. No exact data, as they did firewall in communication between regular sales folks and this unit. Just look at the job positions they are creating
Can someone confirm such an initiative with details? Idiotic if true. Intel danced in and out of anything not a chip to oem sale. Microscopes? Hosting? switches? Video conferencing? Hadoop and lustre? Watched? Who in the world would trust intel to purchase something from them? Just wait till next reorganization or exec change...
Intel is a chip company, the sooner it realizes that the better it is. Bk and gang have alll these dud ideas to cater to wall street and justify their mega stock grants. If BK would reduce his RSU - then he would not have to be in the spinning business.
I thought RSD was the Retail Systems Division under IOTG. Did that change?
