Australia BU East / West separate divisions still justified?

Just think about how many Managers and Expats you could get rid off to make this company truly "Nimble"... I know first line Senior Managers that have managed to get their job title changed to justify their existence for the past 2 years... It's ridiculous ELT can't see this?...
You answered the question yourself...it's because the ELT is protecting their nepotistic club without concern for the cost....just like their fleet of gulfstream jets. The OZ bloat has been identified in every previous RIF round to no avail...as have the jets.
Same logic applies - why do we have a Calgary office? It's a 4hr flight between Calgary and Houston, 1 timezone difference. And an extra 1:30 flight to Surmont. Consolidate and call it a day.
Logistically it would not work, it is a 5 hour flight between the two offices
the ELT is still fixated on the possibility of "a dingo ate your baby"...and will probably leave things as they are due to general confusion.
