Still no news about the October round?

Is there Intel yet on what the October round will look like, or too early to tell?

Layoff's in Bangalore will only give much cost benefit unless they target the top layers. This time around the folks targeted would be under performers and few top folks money guzzlers.

Layoff in MRES Bangalore is targeted about a month from now in September. The biggies of MRES have planned a Bangalore trip in September. To give motivational pep talk to those who have survived layoff.

BDC storage is another group that needs trimming. Especially the top layer whose only expertise in politics.

Only one qa team got wiped. Still many qa teams in NDC and lot of people in qa still enjoying with no work and these teams are direct overlap with MDC.

Considering the 6610 was the last ever EQL hardware release and firmware is now in maintenance mode I'm surprised it took Dell this long to start killing off whole groups there.

Confirmed for August: definitely large numbers getting laid off today. Moreso in test than developement. I know of layoffs at MDC and NDC.

What a bunch of BS. Some people have way to much time on their hands.

Working in BDC storage is not straight forward. You have to s--- up to the two techies. You should not come out as too brilliant as you hurt their bloated egos. Many good engineers were targeted as useless and made to quit.... the ones who had minds of their own. Only s---ers can survive in this team. you should constantly flatter these two jokers and their useless director. even if you have good ideas you should suppress it as only these super techies are fountain head of ideas.

Sorry bad luck. No job openings in the Dell storage Bangalore. It's all frozen.There are openings in EMC... Looks like EMC management not want to add more people to the party.

There are no layoffs in Dell. We will continue the party with no work and good pay package. Cook up some fake reports on projects and write junk code which will only be exposed when product ships mid next year by which time who cares. Work from home and take long holidays and we also get our annual pay hike in October. Although a small percentage it is okay as something is better than nothing. It is certainly party time in Dell. We should nominate Dell for Great place to work or should we keep it secret.

Our normally calm and level headed director just went off on managers about protecting under performing employees. Then called in managers to ask details about specific employees. Winter is coming.....

Is it true that EMC is planning to fire the BDC storage management team who are well known as technically and professionaly incompetent.

This info is 90% credible. I am basing this on the triage of all the evidence and clues from the storage management team.
