The last 7 days and really the last 3 years since my divorce have been rough. I appreciate the severance package and am excited to get back to enjoying life. I wish everyone who got let go today and those who didn't the best of luck!

Well said friend. It's who you know, and not what you know.
At Denbury is who you know, not what you know. Don't believe me? Take a look at latest managers.
This was the worst run layoff ever. Nobody in HR knew what was going on and when I would finally get someone to give me an answer, it was wrong (2 times). I don't agree with who I was told had to be laid off. It wasn't the people I said. They weren't my worst How did this happen?
Still don't have the right papers they were going to give me before the end of the day.
The execution on this was a joke. Boxes missing, two of my packets had someone else's stuff in them, manager training wasn't even close to decent (I asked 2 questions and never got answers to either) and another agreement had an error in it with the amout (I heard there were more). Other managers were wondering around confused about what was going on and where to go for help. DISORGANIZED MESS!
Sad thing is a few jerks remain!
I've been through many of these in my career and this was definitely the worst I've experienced. So many good employees and friends were let go. I remain employed but this feels simply horrible at the moment.
