Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

LWD is dead

LWD is dead. Weatherford is, if they survive, going to end up back to running casing/tubing, software (as that is the new love child and they have teamed with IBM), and Artificial Lift. The rest is going to be cast aside and even some of the groups in their core may have to be let go to keep this one afloat.

This is what I am afraid of as well. I think that we have a long period of "restructuring" (read:layoffs) ahead of us, and I am not sure anybody is truly safe...

@OGPJMDj-pvp - based on your reply, you have a great shot at a managers position if not already there. Why don't you add some content or an original thought if the thread is putting you to sleep.

Weatherford will and should go back to its roots - "dumb iron". They can't do technology.
