End of an Empire

I feel really bad about all the negativity surrounding the company. No one shows any empathy for poor RD. Can you imagine how it must feel to be held hostage by one's own greed of $11 million, only to be forced to watch as your Empire you built is dismantled piece by piece in front of your eyes?

Unfortunately, RD was put in a position where he just doesn't have the competency to do the job of CEO. He was never suited for it and Sinclair tried to make a fast fix by bringing him back. Instead, you saw RD's Mighty Ascension stall out as he was neutered. Watching your minions like SL (the most vile and evil villain in the industry), DA, Jon, Gab and even CBS get summarily dismissed while you have to meekly stand by is very de-motivating and emasculating, if you ask me.

And $11 million is a pittance when it comes to all the great things he's accomplished:

Hello Barbie Dreamhouse - oh, wait, that s*d, too

Kricket Car - oh, yeah, that was stupid

Turning Fisher-Price into a Learning company - oh, right, it already was that

Re-naming the creative content group Mattel Creations - oh, yeah, I forgot about the Emmy award winning "The Toy Box" show

Yeah, he's being underpaid. I betcha he's looking to leave by now, and I feel bad about LMcK, LP, MZ, CD and all the other minions who were his "darlings" and won't find a suitable rock to hide under after he's gone. It's pretty easy to see how sad he might be.

Fear is the mind killer. Stop looking at the stock. When a Chinese investment company picks you up and carves you up like mooshoo pork then you can worry. In the meantime work on you s#!£. That's what you're paid to do. Do what everyone else does and drink yourself into oblivion at days end. And learn some Mandarin (probably).

to 2nd to last poster: What's so wrong about what is said on this site? Have you looked at the stock today?! It closed at $17.51 - this is not just embarrassing, it's not recoverable. PAY ATTENTION to what is really going on in the world and in the company. Stop getting swayed by endless propaganda from HR and the Board of Directors. Mattel is $2.51 away from being bought for pennies on the dollar from a PE group that will sell the company off in pieces.

As sad, tired and pathetic as seeing RD in the tower everyday. He continues to s--- the motivation out of all of us. Overpaid with no accountability. The board should all be fired for letting this continue.

Watch your back. Everyone is a target to be removed. Might promote you or treat you good today, but could be gone tomorrow. Thats how it rolls in a company facing big problems.
