I'm skeptical that they'll actually cut managerial positions. My department in Boston is so top heavy that, with all the layoffs of non-managerial positions and people leaving, there are almost as many middle managers as non-managers.
Yet, I bet anything that come layoffs, people like me will be the ones to go and not any of the managers.
I agree, @OBPj2nS-2jca. Managers have managed to keep their positions through every layoff round so far, I honestly can't see that changing. We'll see when it actually happens, but I know I am worried about my non-managerial position more then they are about theirs.
