Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

History repeating

The 2016 cuts were done the same way, Whitney, Management and Legal met with an outside Legal firm that specializes in Out-placement activity. They have all of their processes thought out, must be one of the only things that they are good at! Why else do you think that they staffed up the HR department to a level that no other company of Denbury's size has ever seen before, and I've been in the business a long time. The employee's that are part of the next RIF, take the money and CONSERVE your resources, you never know how long it will take in the DFW market to find another Oil job. Be nice to your spouse, they are also going to feel the pain of a job loss, but you will need them to help you pull through this. To the few who will still have a job at DRI, don't feel smug, it could still happen to you, but in the mean time you are going to be one very busy SOB! Give your spouse a picture to remember what you look like since you will be living at the office all of the time, where ever it moves. Maybe even out of town!

I hope they DO move us to Houston after the dust settles, at least there are other opportunities in the Petro business if this folds. There is no reason for us to be up here in these vast buildings with all of the current empty offices, which the empty count is only going to increase this week if all plays out.
