as somebody mentioned before, the woodbridge store in nj has a checkout area. they have removed all the registers from the departments except jewelry, cosmetics, shoes and have a large checkout area on each floor. if a customer is looking for an item, they need to wait in line and ask somebody behind the chekout area. there were about 5 or 6 registers for each checkout. i did take a couple of pics.
half of women's shoes is like going to a dsw. they have the shoes on the top and you just pick your size below. also, there were parts of cosmetics that was set up like a sephore...urban decay, impulse, etc. the big lines were not
i was told hours and staff were cut and most of the employees like the new way. so watch out...is this what is going to happen next year?? is this what the cuts in january will bring?
