Those people who knows how to kiss a-- managers will be fine as they always been. No layoffs can or will impact low performers and insiders who are managers favorites. You don't have to work or contribute, just sell or bad mouth your colleagues. You can safeguard your job and can destroy others

They're all "slackers" until they cut you. You think being a top performer will save you if the group your in is still losing money? Or if there are other top performers that cost less than you?

Life is great at DellEMC. It keeps getting better and better as the slackers are slowly getting RIF'd.
Some products sell better than others, some bring in more revenue / unit / employee, some are / have been dead ends, some are the future. Despite anger, anguish, seeming arbitrary waves of layoffs, one must see this comany as an organism: doig the best it can to survive a merger and eventually thrive in the short-term. That's just life... and No, I'm not a manager, just an IC doing actual work somewhere deep down the trenches at Dell.
