Thread regarding Aetna layoffs

When managers say they are going to hire new people, which means lay offs soon!

So, the manager in the meeting said that they will be anticipating "a lot of work next year" and that they will be hiring a "bunch of new people." Haha. What a crock! We all know what that means... its code for let's fire/lay off the employees that have worked there for 10+ years!!! C'mon do they think we are that dumb to believe their lies? The same thing happened 3 years ago, they anticipating a crapload of work, hired a bunch of new people before the new year and once the new year came, bam, they layed off the majority of the people that have giving their sweat and tears at Aetna!!! It's disgusting. Better be looking for a new job.

Aetna lays off every year- well every year for the last 10 I was there, so I think the word on layoffs is YES- there is word. To think there isn't would be like being surprised by an annual flood...
