VPG is a focking political mess, where back stabbers, brown nosers and butt lickers thrive to the max.

Arch and uarch need to start coding and doing hands on work! Stop just overseeing things and attending meetings and start making a change worth talking about.

If Intel is so bad, why stay?

Intel pay is only viewed as well by those who can't get a job anywhere else. If you are good and ambitious intel is a terrible place to work.

@1tcg, Intel does not pay well to engineers who can make product, that is why I left.

Getting back to the original topic.. why are you complaining? Intel pays well. They are just asking you to put in a little extra effort. If you don't like it, you can find another job somewhere else. Simple as that.

@klm I have seen that Scrum abuse in iCDG as well. Micromanagers who know nothing about Scrum and use it as an excuse to micromanage to their heart's content. When Scrum clearly tells you that the daily meeting must NOT take longer than 15 minutes, but you have daily (including Sat+Sun) one-hour status meetings, then you can only wonder how managers like that made it through ACT.

Who knows, if we weren't wasting our time in status meetings, we might not have to work on weekends, and Cormac wouldn't have to worry about our low productivity.

The best part is when people do constant status gathering meetings and call it "Scrum", when in fact it is the opposite of Scrum.

It's idiots like that who give Scrum a bad name.

Wow. Forcing folks to work weekends just to watch the database sit around waiting for the fabs to get the process working. Sad.

Non tech managers in vpg help preserve the great culture of "favoritism".. Political innovation is bad for perf/watt but works as Intel has sh-- loads of money and no one wants to clean the dump..
