Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

True: Downsizing, Layoff Big cuts for Dell

Dell Services merged into NTTDATA services. After merger as usual layoffs have begun from 2016-Dec.

Jun-23 is another big cut. Numbers are secret. But it is across all Dell Services organizations.

NTTDATA/Dell Services does not require demanding skills like Big data, Mobile, Verticle industries, SAP HANA etc. Lost business opportunities?

Understand that most Dell executives and above are not too technical and Nashua NDC can outsmart them by falsifying projects and work loads. If they visit we will give them a tour around huge obsolete lab and the funny part is everyone buys in and believes we are doing work, including RR.

Nashua is a joke, we fooled MDC for past 3 years and now we no longer need/care them.

This year we shifted our focus to EMC, let's see how long we can fool EMC and dumb executives in Hopkinton who believes that we are working on Cyclone.

There are going to be 500 new job openings in the EMC CoE in Bangalore. Heard about this from a cross site recruitment briefing. Where are these jobs coming from. Obviously replacements for job cuts from Trump nation.

C-levels are commodity labor as much as anyone else. They've got their cookie cutter policies they learned at business school in the breaks between coke parties, and their career track consists of moving from the top spot in one company to the top spot at a more famous company. Power Hour and crap to justify their existence at Dell. Look at VP's, ORSD's layers of management screwing the little guy

Dell Equalogic is already dead. Compellent is still selling and on its way to the grave. Most of this product work I heard is done in bangalore and pune in india. Dell has already reduced cost.

"In storage the major imapct would be in the Compellent and Equalogic teams."

Heard that too. Both these are Dell products in sunset mode. There are hundreds of people in these teams hiding doing nothing in Minnesota, India and Nashua.

Mid-July is what was hinted in our storage director's meet. They want to clean up before the second quarter of Dell.

Based on the info floating around the hallways it appears the cuts will come mid July. Probably looking at the week after the Holiday break.

My team heard the same thing about Mass part of Dell Emc. Was told that it will be HUGE. I really hope for the folks in that state that it's just false info or merely exaggerated.

@NydcBzR-1pee agreed with you, after 10 years of continuously laying off their employee, those still survived since then should realized the stress it cause. For survival lots of back stabbing going on and little real delivery, such environment are like a constant storm in the cup.

If you see or hear about layoffs, you should start looking for a different position outside of Dell. Its not worth the stress and aggravation of having to worry if you will have a job tomorrow, next month or even next quarter. Everyone at Dell has a "shelf-life" and eventually layoffs will happen.
