I don't know anything about employment standards for Americans but for Canadians being affected by this RA, please, please do research into 'Constructive Dismissal'. There is a legal remedy for your situation if you meet the criteria!!!

Just had a new re-org announcement in GTS and it looks like they have found a way to add even more managers to the already bloated mgmt structure. It's no wonder IBM is losing their a-- every qtr.

It's time to find another job with a company not doomed to keep making the same mistakes every year. Less techs, more managers is the IBM way and its killing them. I have lost all respect for every single manager at IBM. Sears stores are closing everywhere because they sat on the sidelines for years watching companies like Amazon soar to the top. You cannot teach an old dog new tricks and with Ginni at the helm that is exactly what IBM is doing. Bringing people back into the office? I am sorry, but with a 401k match cut in half and no raises to the employees, IBM cannot afford the centers, if anything they should be closing all the centers that do not have a data-center or need for the employees to be there. This would free up cash, not burn it like they continue to do. And for the love of God, trim the fat off the middle mgmt bloat and nonsense IBM internal processes. Here is a lil secret; nobody pays any attention to those processes anymore and at the present time there is nobody complaining about it either.

The current re-org is leaving many people without a job. Total panic at this point at IBM. Things are such a mess. 2Q is almost over, hard to believe it will show any progress at all. The question remains when the Board will make some changes at the helm. This is overdue.

This does not surprise me, I left IBM (by choice) 2 weeks ago. but i had heard there was yet again anew reorg and upto 25% of positions will not be there post the reorg. and this one will hit management as well.. Hopefully they can get rid of the many useless managers that manage successfully upwards rather than managing their business to success, on the whole these are the people that are responsible for IBM performing badly and thus putting many peoples livelihoods in jeopardy as well as making IBM a miserable place to work for the past 5 years.
