can we all just agree that this site is for the rejected former bitter employees of mattel who feel like the were given the short end of the stick and need to gripe, call out those they believed wronged them or just spew virtriol and wish the companies demise and hope that the people they considered friends for so many years and then treated them life pariahs after they were let go suffer just a little bit? so if you're still employeed, are upper management why not go somewhere else and kumbaya the wonders of mattel. let us have our space to gripe android our thing. i'm sure mattel will blow some more money on a social media platform for employees who want to spew the wonders of mattel.

so many people are quitting the company from top level to mediocre designers. you'd think that UM would get a clue by now.
until some major top down house cleaning is done, and i mean from upper management to evergreen designers who've been beaten down too many times by cost reductions to see the innovative light at the end of the tunnel the numbers are going to
constantly fall. That's a given. like it or not, even the likeable mainstays need to be shown the door.
Well, I'm an upset shareholder who will use any device to share my disappointment that leadership has not changed and this is one of the worst performing companies on the exchange. Even Ford is smart enough to drive change when the shares are down 40pct. But not Mattel. It clear with the discussion thread on this site that the leaders of old should be removed. When will it happen?

This site is called "Mattel, Inc. Layoffs". Many of the laid off people have legitimate gripes. Lets face it, management at Mattel has FAR from stellar for a long time now.
I'm thinking it is those of you who are not laid off or in danger of being laid who should get lost.

we did have an internal mattel feel good social media thing that NO ONE used a few years ago. it's was as pathetic as the rave reviews, kudos, whatever they called them.
