When will it be here? I'm so frustrated trying to enroll students who don't really want this and have to babysit them along the way. This is not what I signed up for. This is not what I expected my first job out of college to be. I'm so glad I have not moved out of my parents house yet or that my school was a real school and not like what we do here. I don't know if I can take anymore pretending like I care about these students. Argosy online does not even seem real. These poor students

Seriously I finished 2 master's degrees, one from a major state school, and one from Argosy. My Argosy degree was hands down far more difficult, rigorous and completely worth every penny.
You are not going to get a severance. They are utilizing the WARN act and telling impacted employees in advance. When that occurs, you don't get anything. The only time they provide the 60 day severance is if they do not give you the WARN letter first. Then, legally, they have to pay you for the 60 days.

Wow. Why shame the poster? What's going on with you? Nothing the original poster said is untrue. You go in and are told the job is one thing and then it becomes apparent it's down and dirty, and in this case desperate, sales with the mind games and threats and all that goes with hard core sales. You may not like the truth but it is what it is.
I doubt riding this out will give us a big severance. No one gets those unless your management.

How can anyone say we are doing the right thing for these students. This online school is a joke. I want to know which one of you have your "degree" and actually learned anything? I hope someday these students figure this out.

I don't know who you are, but if you truly believe you are not doing the right thing by enrolling these students then it may be time to look in the mirror at where the fault lies. There are plenty of dishonest organizations running call rooms to defraud good people. I do not believe Argosy is one - there are many good teachers even if administration are not such great folk,
but if you do then you are committing a dishonest act for money and cannot excuse it by saying first job out of college. You are the problem.
I don't care if anyone knows who I am. This was a b---s--- company and a big mistake for college grads from where I come from
