We are repositioning the company as a new streamlined ConocoPhillips focused on a reduced but high quality asset base managed and operated by a reduced but high quality workforce of 8,000-9,000. There will be more details conveyed in the future. These are exciting times for COP. So let's get to work.

What a company, why is it in the culture to "fire with cause." The problem is too many egos and not enough results.
Almost impossible since the ELT's mindset is still operating like a major! They and many of the managers do not know or understand how to operate as an independent!
Talk is cheap and COP has done little in the learning process to operate as an independent. That has cost billions of $$$!
The ELT are all talk, and as a stockholder, I'm damn tired of all the jaw jacking from RL and other members of the ELT! Time to fire them with cause and hire an ELT who know what to do and how to run an independent oil company! If not, COP will cease to be an oil company in two to three years!
The ELT has no choice but to streamline the company or they are out. Shareholders are getting restless. If we brag that we are the largest independent, we better get structured like one and start operating like one. Still confused how Lwr48 unconventional and Surmont make commercial sense. We have sunk a lot of money in these ventures with no hope of reaching break even. If we keep these holdings, we better start operating & managing differently.
This is great. Finally, a sense of much needed direction. Am sure this is exactly what the shareholders was wanting to hear. Why was this not announced during the shareholders meeting?
Fire yourself, and then we'll talk.
