Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Another re-org in SWG (I meant the old SWG because I no longer know what we are called!)

Yet another re-org started in the old SWG organization. Panic everywhere, nobody really knows where they will end up or whether they will have a job... Will probably take a month or more to settle, in the meantime nothing happening, business is at a standstill, people are even less motivated... and the end of Q2 is near. My prediction... IBM stock to go to 130 after Q2 earnings are released. Who wants to bet some money?

They will do the same next year.

GBS shifts everything once a year, P&Ls shift every two years (sometimes three)

Happens every year. By design. They do not want anyone to become complacent and comfortable. It's more about management shakeup than staffers, but, hey - it s---s for everyone. Accenture pioneered it, they've done every single year since Anderson Consulting was founded. Works fine.

In which "old" brand or BU?

Similar thought here now that the perfect storm is underway: an all-out assault on older employees, an over riding focus on cost reduction at the expense of revenue, and finally an executive team that appears to be curled up in the fetal position, unable to govern.

In the same boat. So tired of it, this is killing this company... slow death but certain death
