Yep, last week's Facilities newsletter actually told employees to use one pen at a time so they don't dry out.
1) We were told years ago to bring in our own office supplies at Deer Valley
2) Who the heck uses a pen these days?

It's not just an issue of taking one's own trash out,
how about flushing toilets and washing one's hands ?
It would be a great health and safety benefit if the employees at the Glendale SSO / DSES site
BEGAN
to uniformly, consistently wash their hands after using the facilities.
Very disgusting infantile hygiene there,
~20%+ of the time people just bolt out of the toilet stalls and out the door without washing hands.
It is true that this does reduce Honeywell costs in that the unflushed toilet saves water, and not washing hands saves water, soap, and time.
I think some people think the 360 Degree Review is an assessment of the
coil they left in the unflushed toilet for others to view.
DSES is such a weird name for the division, phonetically so fairly similar to "DisEase".
Oh well, just buy Purell by the gallon at Costco, and bring it in to work, hopefully avoid the various communicable DSESes.
P.S If the employee luncheon has the communal bowl of chips again, as in one of the events a while back, just skip the chip, or rinse each one off in Purell.
But, but that "I am loved" button that they passed out Friday in Tempe will make it all better.
I am not making this up.
Will we have to take the trash home? Trash collection fees are usually based on weight and we could save the company a lot of money by taking it home and putting into our own unweighed trash.
The Tempe message said to stay tuned because employees would be taking out their own trash soon. Look forward to coming announcements!
What a joke! I won't go into why, but we have a dozen or more old pens - I mean years old - and they haven't dried out yet. I suppose someone got an award for a "cost saving" idea.
We also got those bright yellow warning signs on what you can flush down the toilets. I believe it's because they plan on bringing in more HB-1 VISA folks not used to flush toilet. That and JLL is taking over more of the Facilities, so they are probably reducing plumbing risks to boost their profits. Word is JLL is going to take over most USA sites and layoff the remaining HON Facilities employees. Some received notice they either join JLL or RIF by June 30th.
nevermind about the one-pen policy. it is far mare critical that you heed the directions in the bathrooms with regard to proper toilet usage!!
Any multi-national corporation with the executive team making a gazillion dollars should be ashamed. But Wall St. LOVES IT!
Yes, don't you all remember it is all about lean management thru HOS. Get with the program, pen usage are measured metrics and will be looked at your next director site visit!
