So no auction then. I wish everyone well at Extreme. There will be the mother of all integrations happening there and will be exciting times. Hopefully MR and JT can snow another management team with their BS.
that was the 18th. Today would have been the auction, but there were no bidders. Extreme will be confirmed on the 25th.
I seem to recall today the 23rd was the last day for official notification of attendance at the auction. Should know whether there is another bidder and an auction today.
Says alot - no others bidders came forward
Too early for offers. Need to sift through those that add no value first
So have they started rollinh out offers to ppl
Lucky escape - spare a thought for those of us left in the sinking ship
You cant compare the amount paid for Nortel Enterprise then and Avaya Networking now, Avaya and others didnt want Networking then and dont now (and treated it that way the whole time). I believe one of the comments here explains the issue, you cant run a high tech business on 30% margin. The unit is losing money that is why it sold for 1/2 sales when 3 times sales is normal.
I heard that oracle has submitted an objection to the court against this deal with extreme
all of which went to Silverlake while strangling the company with debt. Sweet deal for them. S---s for everyone else.
Yea, and nearly $2B in Networking Revenue (not including support) @ ~30% margin since FY10 + Nortel install base we converted + $100M for the business = not the absolute worst deal in the world. But let's just ignore the facts.
No takers. 2009 buy Nortel for $900 mil and 2017 get 100 mil for the networking business
Great ROI, hope Avaya's new owners aren't this Brilliant
No other bidders according to the latest filing on PrimeClerk, which petitions to cancel auction and have Sale Hearing for Extreme bid on May 25.
