No credit being extended for the back to school clothes. Vendor wants cash upfront. Clothes will be coming in late losing valuable floor time. Typical that Sears gets merchandise after it's needed so it will sit and rot with most going clearance and eventually zero.

Some people's guesses are better than others.......because they aren't....guesses?....... lol.

I've seen people take their information from here. One more specific example is that lady who people mention here from time to time. One of her articles literally said the source of one of her statements was from 'an anonymous forum employees use' or something along those lines. It was a while ago but I specifically remember it because I automatically knew she was talking about here and it kinda made me chuckle.
Some people's guesses are better than others because they aren't guessing-- they know, by virtue of their position, exactly the scale of the vendor problems. At this point, however, the problems are substantial enough that even the media knows about some of them.
This board has been more consistent with what has been going on with the company so there is some truth to what is posted, minus what damage control the corporate trolls try to use.
I would honestly hope the media is smarter than to take any facts from an online forum. That would be silly. That is like the old game where you pass along a fact and it changes and changes along the way to where it isnt anything close to the actual starting point at the end.
People are upset and worried. That is that. There are no facts to take from here.....just experiences that no doubt vary from person to person. I was chuckling the other day in a Sears store as I stopped in the bathroom and thought well I hope there is toilet paper and soap based on things I had read on here, and yes of course the bathroom was fine. And no I am not saying the stores arent old because they are, but it wasnt bad.

Before some of you bitter sears haters start jumping on this...I'm not saying these events aren't happening. They probably are but don't act like you know all these details. Your guess is only as good as everybody else's.
Widely reported in the media Sears Holdings suppliers want to be paid up front. As has been the case with nearly every defunct retailer just before they folded.
Posting negative facts is completely different than making up negative things just because you're bitter.

It is what it is.....there is no wait and see. If that is the case there is nothing anyone can do about it but once again why post that? Just to upset people working for the company? What is the end goal? I dont understand those whose end goal is just to upset people. Who does that? What sort of person?
