Last week, we had a meeting.....The New Organization will combine 32 Geomarkets into 16. Area Segment Management will be wound down and so on. This info is in the SLB intranet. Unfortunately, more layoffs is coming! When or how many, they didn't disclose it yet. They layoffs started in 2015, and it's not stopped ever since.

layoffs continue until morale or stock price improves
Waiting for the announcement. How many more layoffs are expected for 2018.
are you on drugs? Mass layoffs and closures started in 2014. SLB started earlier than some companies. They looked like they were forward-thinking at the time but they fired the wrong people and closed the wrong places and ended up with a management bloated morass that is worse bureaucracy than it was before.
I suprise they didnt kniw it untill now. Day shift have only 3 equipment operator, but 1 manager, 2 supervisors sitting in the office and still cant get the working order fixed.
The CEO said the company is top heavy in management and they are specifically going to reduce managers. I am sure they will also get rid of many of the redundant positions when they combine offices.
It would not surprise me if they move more jobs from Houston to Romania. It seems you can hire 3 romanians for the same price as 1 american and I know for a fact Romanians can be smart like americans unlike stupid indians. I just wonder if he will also move jobs from his home norway to romania or will norway be protected???
This CEO is going to try every short term thing he can to make it looks like he got the most profits so he can leave with a golden parachute.
Should get the best PBS submission in history award! Now that's New thinking P can get behind
i've been asking to be laid off, but they just dont listen!
My 'Performed by Schlumberger ' project in 2017. Engineered Layoffs vs Geometric Layoffs, How to Increase Efficiency at Lower Cost.
Has always been heavy, and nobody here knows how to do there job without backup. They pass on responsibleity like the cheerleaders in the locker room.
SLB is getting a little too heavy. This restructuring should put the organization on par with the field activities
