Co-location Updates (Tue May 16 2017)

This is all from the Alliance's updates:

  • Info 1: Enterprise Services Transformation was hit with colocation today. IBM decides where. 30 days to decide.

  • Info 2: Co-Location has just hit Asset Management with everyone being told to report to one of four locations and IBM decides the location. We have 30 days to decide.

  • Info 3: I am a current IBM employee working as a Security Engineer. My manager let me know yesterday that I and several others are going to have to relocate if we want to keep our jobs.

Coercing an employee to quit by only giving the employee the options of either

commuting hundreds of miles to a co-location site or packing up and moving their residence sounds like a CEO in desperation to quickly reduce employee staff and avoid severance packages being paid out. Do I hear class action lawsuit in the works by IBM employees ?

Sounds like IBM doesn't want to pay out a large amount in severance packages so they pull this

"threat" stunt to get employees to "volunteer" to resign.
