The rumors of a major announcement today to include the end of co-location and Ginni's retirement at age 60 this summer were clearly bad rumors. I have been picking up bits and pieces of info about a new co-location announcement today for Enterprise Services. The most detailed info I have found so far has been posted on facebook.com/IBMwatching

Please post anonymously. I work in Enterprise Asset Management. Everyone in my department was told this morning that we will have to move to Atlanta, RTP, Boulder, or Westchester. We will find out this week which of the 4 we will have to move to.

Please post anon. I am a current IBM employee working as a Security Engineer. My manager let me know yesterday that I and several others are going to have to relocate if we want to keep our jobs. I am interested in input on which IBM locations have openings for security engineers. I believe that many companies are looking for people with my skills. Should I be looking to quit IBM and go elsewhere?

The original thing I heard a week or so ago was that today was going to be an announcement of MORE colocation. Then somehow it got turned into end of colocation. The former ended up being true. Now I just wish the other half of that rumor, that Rometty was stepping down today or at least announcing it, would come true. Fingers crossed. Then at least one monster will be out of my life. The other looks well on the way also. It will be good to get back to not being stressed out from both of them all day, every day.
