And who in the right mind would want to be "recalled" back unless you are gluten for punishment?
Because its health insurance and a salary to pay bills ! Who in there right mind wouldn't take there job back. You can always look for something better while your getting paid and employers rather hire someone already working, some how they think those are the better peopel

If you have the opportunity to leave (can afford to financially) why would you stay. Please don't say loyalty or sense of duty because those traits are not reciprocal. Get out and enjoy life work with successful teams at a successful company.

The veterans will tell you that the sooner you move on, the better it is. Keep your head high. The are better companies for ramps to work for. Good luck!

There is a technical difference between being laid off and fired. A layoff is a loss of job usually because of business conditions. In a number of industries (example, airlines and manufacturing) a layoff can be temporary with workers recalled when business improves. In the IT business the business condition these days is a preference for low cost, off shore labor. It feels tantamount to firing because there is no recall and you cannot return even if they are hiring. As a rule the term firing is used to describe a situation where a person is dismissed for cause- poor performance, breaking a rule, etc.
@Nfrqy7E, don't know the difference between a layoff and being fired? I wish they would fire people like you instead of laying others off.
