Feels good to be out, honestly. The dopes still run their fiefdoms in what used to be a f---ing great company. Lots of bad decisions led directly to this ugly result. Severance and COBRA (just like the last round of RIFs, which I had secretly hoped to be in). Got my wish! Good luck and Dog speed, oh ye weary left standing.
I heard channel sales VPs (N. America and Global) were let go - good riddance. There were horrible managers of people and the directly affects the business capabilities

Confirmed, just received an email for a meeting with HR tomorrow morning. I guess all things must come to an end. I put close to 7, long, hard fought years into this place. Felt like I was really contributing to something special. Feels like I just poured by sweat and tears into a masterful garden, only for it to be ruined by my neighbors cat. No worse feeling than seeing that cat trample through my tomato and herb garden. No worse, until this fateful meeting with HR tomorrow. I will miss all of you- some of which I consider closer than my actual family. For my dearest family members staying on, I wish you nothing but the best. Keep your chins up and think of us fallen brethren, wherever we may me land.

Looks like the support organisation made it out with 7 (so far) heads cut globally. Seeing as they've consistently made their budgets it would make sense to not cull them too hard.
Its not as bad as it was in 2015. Not as many pink slips in PS and Support apparently. More in Sales (surprise surprise), a few in engineering too

Yes it's true about the layoff coming. Just don't know who and when for my particular office.
