No it is July 19th.
Hammer joke makes my day!
I am lost for words for people who don't see the sarcasm in XI-fob's post.
How on Earth do people like ...XI-fob survive. You need to think in this industry, not try on rose-colored glasses. Must be an exec in charge of making up RIF lists.
LOL, that was awesome!
I agree with the previous poster.
At this point it is all false rumor and Innuendo. The company has trimmed where needed, and now it simply has to execute. All I see is growth at this point. The so-called "Hammer" Drives will be shipping in the very near future (I think in the next two weeks or so, that is my hunch), and with the ten-fold (!) increase in Capacitance and Area Destiny and the associated Reduction in Cost that comes with it (Hammers are much, much cheaper to make than normal Magnetostrictive Recorders, and will improve reliable lifetimes of Drives by a factor of 100 at least), there will be a huge need to hire the best and the brightest Recorder Engineers and Others.
Rewarding In all kinds of ways, is what it will be.
My guess is that they will be opening new factories in China, Malaysia, Singapore, and North Korea soon, as well as Recorder Design Centres in the US and the UK, as the demand for ZexxaBytes of Storing far outstrips factory capacitance. The so-called "Flash Masters" will be sitting in the dust thinking "What Happened?"
This is probably the best time for future Employees of Choice to get into Hammer Recording Programmes at top Universities and prepare for a challenging and rewarding career in Hard-Drives.
RIFs. I laugh out loud at the idea. This industry is just getting started. Get in while you can, my friends.
Stop posting old news & spread false rumors. This is so far the best company ever in the world!
