Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Follett's future

Where does follett go from here with the lawsuit. Nobody trust follett anymore so do they pay the publishers their loses or do they just do the same old thing and wiggle their way out.

In the meantime, stores have to send out books at their expense to be examined & bring in new books to replace used ones which won't sell then will have to pay for shipping them out & get zapped for too many returns. Sigh....

The lawsuit will amount to nothing, I'm sure.

Follett has always been active in the "grey" textbook market. Profits first.

Our CEO keeps working his magic. The handy hardware man. Time to lay off more people to pay more lawyers.

I don't understand why publishers are doing business with counterfeiters?

I don't understand why Follett keeps doing business with the companies that are suing them?

I don't understand why they have to lay people off. At this point, they should be forced to hand out retention bonuses. They should begging the few remaining to stay. Why are so many follettarians asleep at the wheel? Why does working for follett mean tolerating toxic work environments, poor pay, collapsing benefits and constant threat of layoff. Why is anyone left?
