Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Good Hands is a myth

Glen Shapiro left Liberty Mutual after destroying their claims process and came to Allstate with a hatchet agenda. No consideration for customer service, good and loyal employees or accurate claims reporting. After giving my all to Allstate I was told they were cutting back in my area so I retired. I couldn't see working at a place that didn't care. Glen seems to have missed all of the studies that showed employees that are happy do well for their customers. Stress and fear are the way he operates. India will not be able to give personal service, they couldn't even help claims with IT problems due to language barriers. I hope whomever hired Glenn sees how he is burning bridges before the entire company collapses. Agents can't be happy either when they can't have personal contact to service their customer. Quick photo is a license to steal and commit fraud and there is not enough money built in to cover that. As someone else mentioned, Allstate was premier and now it is below par. Too bad it only took him less than a year to destroy what the company spent decades building.

Glenn also re-banded all of the adjusters at Liberty. Even those with law degrees and then slashed pay. Soooo watch for that.

Hey Glenn: take a lesson from Sir Richard Branson. When asked about making customers first, he says: "No, I put my employee's first, because when we take care of them, they take care of the customer with no problem". Gee, must be working over at Virgin Airlines, as he is a multi billionaire. Learn something Glenn, you overpaid MBA mouth.

I'd be careful with names here, check the site rules. Site admins can be brutal here if you violate their rules, they block your IP and nuke all your posts.

I think we all agree about customer service - it went down the drain

What sector are these layoffs in. I agree though customer service has completely gone out the window. I don't get that. I'm willing to adapt but not if it means not helping people who are the actual ones paying my pay check.
