Since HON doesn't give two sh--ting sh--s about their products, quality, reliability, customers or employees, this knowledge just becomes dead weight. The idea is to keep low wage people with no knowledge because this makes davey, Dairyass and wall street rich. HON wouldn't urinate on any of their employees if they were on fire. They're almost viewed as enemies; enemies of the bottom line. When all that matters is the stock and the bonuses of the senior leadershit team, what you end up with is Honeyhell.

I was an employee of Honeywell for many years and I always liked the company in general. I liked the Aerospace division very much as well and I also liked the people of Aerospace. All of them. I may not have agreed with everything or everybody, but I enjoyed the company in general: people and everything that makes it. I now try to keep informed about Honeywell, as I have a vested interest in the company as most stakeholders have. I am very sorry to read so many negative comments. I am sure there are good reasons for them. I am also sure they do not help the company's wellbeing, including employees. I sure wish I could also read proposed solutions to all the identified company's shortcomings, real or perceived. I also worked for other large aerospace companies and to my knowledge they were not too different from Honeywell. I guess things have changed much through the years. I sincerely wish better times ahead for all employees, including Honeywell.
The cost of labor is the largest variable cost. Reducing labor cost by either closing down facilities and shipping the jobs overseas to a new facility, hiring low cost foreign H1B employees, laying-off senior employees, reducing benefits, having employees work more than 40-hours a week as salary or contract employees, recruiting for new labor to fill existing positions at lower than market cost are all the easiest way for senior management to make the quarterly numbers. I'm sure I have miss other ways labor cost is being lowered to make the numbers.
