Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Looks like AMD is turning the corner. I hope we do have serious competition from AMD.

The better the competition, the more we, Intel, will be forced to actually try to innovate.

I feel the same way too. Also, without competition, Intel doesn't have pressure to hire and retain the best engineers. Client and server processors are still very profitable, so it's not like Intel can't afford to hire top talent to innovate. It simply chooses not to.

message to BK: how's that diversity mindset allowing us to innovate better working out?

Competion in the home will get the crazy back to some focus on the home versus chase the fashionable fad.

Sadly x86 is shrinking and irrelevant and intel has lost the lead in Moore and manufacturing, big ACTs ahead
