Better start trimming

Dell EMC storage has so much of fluff. Teams working on products which do not have any roadmap. Thick management layers with Senior Directors and directors reporting to directors reporting to directors. Senior managers reporting to senior managers. Managers reporting to managers. Large number senior principal and consultant engineers who haven't produced anything innovative for years. Senior program managers working on spreadsheets cooking up useless data.

It's time to clean up this organization or else the Dell Titanic will sink fast into the bottom.

senior principal engineers not able to write code. nothing uncommon about it. In most of the Indian Product Development centres these are honorary titles for well connected s---ers who don't want to work and get free $$$$$ Will not be surprising if they were hired by one of your top guy. After all there's a s---er born every minute.

My friend.. this is unfortunate. spreadsheet and operation management experts being hired as Senior program managers.

Apt description of Dell Storage BDC. There are people there with inflated titles. The team constitues of people who are laid off from NetApp and EMC. The senior principal engineers haven't written code for years. They can't even understand the eqallogic code and mess up with bug fixes.

Now the Senior Manager and Manager and little Manager review TELL DELL with employee, this is a bigone issue for Manager.

They have had no good answer and they wants action plan by direct report for fixed this.

Manager target now is tell dell survey and cut wrong people

Do you know about person in VMAX qa with fake resume, fake skill set, fake references and still working in 176. Few bad people surviving and taking the company down.

So much talk about cuts...any predictions on when?

is this country or region specific.. not sure if low cost countries can afford so any fancy titles at the top as they lose cost adv.

Yea I know that lady Alesia DE and Director in VMAX in charge of TCP/IP. She has no clue what socket() bind() connect() does. Great lady and Great employee! We need more people like her!

These senior people know art of survival. They will lay off engineers to get to their target numbers.

Changes are coming very soon.
