Joined an all hands and was told by our L4 that family comes first, to be fair he was quite candid and explained we do it all for them so family takes precedence over work.
I'm beginning to wonder if he means that you will be cut soon regardless of the new role and BS I am about to tell you for our road map, so don't bust a gut working like your family depended on it.
Fair play at least he was honest.
At the end of the day, we are all being subject to the control of the "top". The old saying of promoting to their level of incompetency is quiet true! Instead of putting forth effort in their roles as so called "leaders" to strengthen organizations, they are more interested in securing their golden paraschuttes.
I believe there are many good descent middle management "were" good people and being "morfed/forced" to carry out order may or may not be within their control. Wishing everyone the best as we all embrace this horrible roller coaster ride.

In a staff meeting this week our manager told us to get our resumes up to date and start hitting up friends for job prospects. Said they no control over who gets canned. They were nearly in tears as they told us this. (We had a big swatch of people leave last Friday). Not all of the managers are a*holes.
In my last year, Jeb was always pretty honest with us. Constantly preached "hone your skills, acquire new skills, brush up your resume..."

Goodness an honest DXC manager call the press immediately I feel like we have discovered something many thought would never be found..... akin to discovering life on Mars!!!!!
Yep at least he told you and you can plan and deal with it, the McKinsey BS we are all spouted is the issue and the screwing of people out of a fair severance to line Mikes and the senior leaders pockets - vile people.
