I'm in Florida. The Kmart I work in has not received printed circulars for over two months now. The store manager was told we are part of a test, but in conversations with people who work in other Kmarts throughout the country, I learned that the weekly ads are online only for the entire chain, that all newspaper and doorstep delivery of the circulars has ended nationwide, and stores with circular pricing still have to do sale signage/price changes now every other week, with some departments on a monthly cycle. So one hand lies to the other and says one or two stores are part of a test. Laughable. Why not just say that all print ads have been cut out in their entirety.

People still read newspapers?
regular ads have been gone in most stores for years........in our area...
proof that the powers upstairs dont know a thing about
the true demographics of kmart and also that kmart was
an ad driven company.....
We have not have any real printed ads at Sears in years, the only ads in our local paper were each week from the Sears Outlet store, which is closing we hear end of June.
Although K-Mart usually had a Sunday ad in the paper.
My store doesn't get a weekly ad anymore, though they still do a weekly ad set on Sunday. The only printed circulars we get are the monthly guides.
As for other chains ending printed advertisements in newspapers... They still print them, but i believe it's more targeted by zip code. For example, Meijer, Giant Eagle, Target, Kroger, etc still have printed ads in the newspaper (Giant Eagle, a supermarket chain, sends via mail on Wednesday). Kmart is the only store in the area that discontinued ads
The Kmart is was laid off from is on 100% regular price, even apparel. It's the strangest thing I've ever see. When the inventory blow out ended everything went to regular and had stayed there for two plus weeks.
@1tvu Print circulars are not newspaper ads they are sent in the mail
Have you looked in a printed newspaper lately? There are at max 6 ads.....very few companies print ads regularly anymore in our area.
Thats why they been harassing the customers to become bonus members by getting their email their is no such need for a print copy. They give their emails and they get spam with sears crap.
