That they would let those not chosen in SJ divestiture out early. It has to be torture just sitting with no work in that kind of environment for over a month. Morale is lower than layoff times. Conoco leadership should have to come endure the pain alongside everyone else for the same amount of time.

Use your time wisely and prepare your personal list of accomplishments and encourage others to do the same. Don't wish you had gathered the information and contacts before the reorganization since you may not have access to the info later. Put the trust in yourself and either way you are prepared to rebound or negotiate your own next step with confidence. You have the atonomy to move forward now or hang on and hope. You decide, don't let something you cannot influence stop you from improving yourself. It's your journey, be prepared to respond to the situation and enjoy.
Unchosen One, you can leave anytime you want.
In Canada, ConocoPhillips did their best to completely humiliate the employees they were going to cut. It's as if they want to ruin their prospects of finding a job after the cuts. People fully humiliated in front of their peers at COP and also to external people. I will be surprised if ConocoPhillips doesn't get sued over how they handled the layoffs this time round.
Paid for not working is not the same as laying on the beach jackasses you prob dont even work for cop just want to stir the pot. It is horrible hands down! I was give an offer by the new company and could not begin to imagine what it feels like to see everyone around you being chosen but not you. Then told stay motivated and give us 100% yeah 100%..... up yours!
The ELT feels your pain and frustration, so they will recommend themselves only a 15% salary increase next year. And only free Snickers in their new Taj Mahal offices in EC4, no more Godiva Chocolate.
Getting paid to not work, so sad.
Should i get you some hot milk, a blanky and a lullaby
