Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Avoid DXC

To anyone reading these threads the anger and resentment is clear. Understand that a lot of the rage comes from betrayed trust. There are people who have worked for a company for multiple decades and had a semi formal agreement with management that a job well done would be rewarded and safe (in general). This group found that the employment rules changed from beneath their feet to their extreme disadvantage. They are angry.

So, young people just starting a career, You don't have this expectation and the olds sound like whiners.

Consider-what career building experience will you get at DXC? Maybe you can leverage a year at a rough place into something. Salaries are low, promotions come without pay increases, work life balance is poor and turnover is high. You also may be wfr on a whim to save a pet.

Avoid DXC is right on. The Company is awful and no appreciation for employees, no raises, and layoffs to continue. I resigned back in May and so glad I did. Don't miss it one bit.

Benjamin Buttons is one of them trolling. He's switching camps now that his gravy train is running dry.

A complete joke of a company; no pay raises, bonuses, etc for years, and top level management acknowledging they plan to cut 50% of the US workforce within two years. And they wonder why no one is motivated?

@ial - if you're not in the club, you can definitely get the WFR, what makes you not able to be WFRed?

Management has no backbone, slippery slimey, and will say whatever they need to say to get the job done. You might get a gift card for $50.00 for a major 1-3million project or savings. Management will get the real $$$$$$. Watch, Wait and See. don't be a s---er like I was for many years. It's a club at the top and I was gullible. I have now have a thick skin and say it like it is because I won't get WFR'd.

There are plentiful of newbies (less than 1 year at HP or DXC) are/were subject to WFRs. $$ does not discriminate when MW and ML can fill their pockets with more "gold nuggets" to help them sail into their golden sunset. I was part of the first wave of WFR (post spin merge) after being pursued by HP recruiter (despite I had another offer at the same time). Lessons learned and moved on... all we can do is to give it our best wherever we go and have something to show on CV...all the best to everyone !,....

Guys.... really. The whole hard work = safe thing has been dead for a long time. At CSC/DCX even more so. Get over your entitlement and give thought one your head is out of your a-- about what you will do to get to the next job.

You guys are nuts sometimes, you know. I'm 30, was notified INFORMALLY last week by my admin manager (also have a functional manager eye roll I know) that my position is being off-shored to India and I'm 'training my replacement' but he isn't sure when exactly.

Look, I've been here 5 years from the HP to HPE to DXC transition-fests and it's not been fun but the reality is I've done my job and could care less what's going on with the company. Meg was a disaster, Mike is a basket-case in comparison, and I'm glad it's coming to an end. The severance is annoyingly ridiculous but I already have two final interviews scheduled for end of this month. I hope I get the official boot Monday so I can move on and make a little money at it in the process.

Agreed. "Next Gen" talent look elsewhere. Bad benefits which will get worse. No flexible work from home unless you have a secret deal w a leader who protects you. A plan for 2 people to share one desk ( investor slide deck) No pay increases. You will work for clueless mostly male senior citizen executives who will kick out your work mom or pop soon enough and move your job to a low cost center asap. Be smart stay away.
