The campus Dean of Academic Affairs at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is unfit to lead and must be removed. This long running charade is an embarrassment to the school, disrespectful to the students, Faculty and staff and is perpetuated by the school President who, with the Dean, lead a co-dependent relationship of covering for each other. They should be ashamed but have no clue.

Right. The original point of this post. There are those of us who show up every day and bust our a--. And then there are those whe rarely show up, get paid a ton and do very little and rely on others to do their job. Again, shameful.
Please...all these people who hate working at AI, complain about the students and their portfolios...either make a difference or leave the company. The students are not to blame... it sounds like you are. If you have no intention of helping them achieve their best potential do something else. Stop complaining and move on. There are people who care and all you do is undermine the rest of us.
Watch the latest AIP commercial and take a shot each time you see a known felon or a person who never actually does his/her job. Fun party trick. Sad fact is the people who still work there have limited career choices at that pay level.
I ran into him last week. It was the first time I've seen him in WEEKS. How do people like that keep their jobs? If I pulled that sh--, I'd be out on my a--.

Don't blame the instructors! The majority of students have no innate talent, ambition or goals. I have twenty plus years experience as a professional in the field and I agree... Very few of them are marketable and the portfolios are awful. Whet do you expect from a school that accepts any one in to the program, practically, that applies?
So it matters?
Pittsburg online portfolios are the worst. They can not compete and no one seems to care. I feel bad that people are paying money for this education. Does this same Dean hire the online instructors?
The president of AIP is more concerned about having his own private bathroom. No joke. What could that man possibly do outside of an AI? Play video games? He is a really horrible person.

They are both AWFUL and will go down with the ship. Seriously, never on campus and have no clue about education matters. I agree that they are shameful and should have been fired years ago.
