If you have problems with fake techies in Bangalore talk to CTO and VP. Send them mail on how they work and act. Ask them to skim the surface and see reality. In real design centers like MDC it is easy to assess techies through code check-ins, design verification and code review, bug resolutions. In India expectations maybe different as the work is not demanding and low-end.

Take a look at the postings on the Dell career website, they've cleaned house and there's very little in the way of current openings compared to a few weeks ago, a sure sign the belt tightening is in full effect and the lists for the next round of headcount cuts are done and ready to be rolled out.

If I was still there I'd be in full speed ahead job search mode, this is going to get ugly before the numbers justify no more cuts, if that ever happens.

Quite happy I got out while the package was good and new opportunities plentiful, I almost feel sorry for those stuck in place and constantly looking over their shoulder for the axeman.

Wish there was Tell Dell like survey for senior techies drawing fat salaries and gaming the system.

Dell Bangalore Storage senior techies would have been exposed by now... fakes. Who doesn’t enjoy being surrounded by authentic, genuine people? When you’re in company with someone who’s genuine, you’ll automatically feel a lot more comfortable. When you speak to an authentic person, you know that they genuinely care about you and that they wish you no ill. At the same time, it cannot be avoided to be confronted with people who are plain out fake.

There’s nothing worse than a fake person who has that unsettling ability to make you feel like crap whenever you meet them.

Fake techies are all nice to you, they smile at you and talk about useless things like photography, foreign trips, vacations.. but stay away from writing code. Time has come.

Identify the nay sayers from data mining Tell Dell.

Attack them through PIP

Make them leave

Managers have a lot of work cut out

Dell obviously is an amazing workplace to show creativity

jokers watch out..this is $$$$$ savings measure. If there's someone no longer wanted at the company, give him or approve the worst projects on impossible deadlines, set him up to fail, and document that. After a few months, you could safely terminate him.
