Many Sears optical have been hit by thieves and boldly they are taking the entire stock of frames and walking out. Now Sears optical have to stay open until the host closes.

@1pez Don't even bother the reason you probably don't notice theft is because you are just busy. I rarely catch thief's stealing because hours are so cut I got nothing else to do, but do my job. Either way say you catch a thief like grabbed him you think you be rewarded? No you be terminated on the spot its not your jurisdiction I wouldn't even bother.
Great... when I'm on the schedule I'm typically the one lone person working the second floor... where our Optical is, as well as home and kids. (Plus intimates and luggage.) I haven't noticed anything like this when I'm there (save for the occasional fitting room evidence), but I'll keep a better eye out if this seems to be becoming 'a thing.'
Although it's a little unnerving being on the floor alone if LP isn't necessarily guaranteed to even be in the building. (I think ours typically is, but I'm not certain.) If they're going to cut them out and leave us with a skeleton crew, can they at least change policy for employees to be mildly armed? lol Not serious, but come on... It's becoming like some retail world apocalypse. If I worked the floor with a sword slung across my back, would some would-be thieves think twice? lol

We just had all our Roebuck jeans stolen yesterday.
We're so understaffed, they had time to take the comforters out of the bags and load them up like suitcases. They just walked right out the back entrance with a shopping cart loaded. Mall security stopped them, but has been told not to proceed, due to us not wanting to press charges. So, he took a picture to show us who to watch for....but when you're the only person in soflines most of time, it makes it impossible! I am so tired of thieves!!!
Ha, ha, ha. It's not just optical. Our store has optical but the thieves come in in gangs and take what they want and walk out. We had one lady who filled a cart with baby clothes and tools and walked out the door and the AP/LP wasn't there because their hours were cut and when the front end confronted the person they said "Try to stop me , you will lose your job and you don't have me on camera"
The thieves know what is going on, they know the law, they know the corporate policy and they know associates can't stop them. This is the third time this month this has happened. Word is out on the streets.
Call LP... oh wait it's just a storage room now
Or they can pull the glasses down and lock them in the exam room for the night.
