So we are not suppose to post complaints, news or even facts (since they did lay off 400 people at Hoffman today) on a board where you are suppose to post complaints, news and facts? So people are unkind for giving people a heads up on firings? So let's just let them go on thinking everything is O.K. instead of giving them a heads up to prepare?

@4ic Who are you upset with? I don't see anyone on this post reinventing the wheel. All that is being said is have some compassion for your co workers and don't just say "Big."

To all the Douche bags on this forum.

Go Look in the mirror and realize what a big piece of sh*t you are. Id rather take these layoff-ed employees over you any day....

Have some compassion for the workers. This is serious stuff for people. Its one thing to be critical of Eddie and stuff but you're just being a tool. I cant force you to stop but be a decent person and stop with your comments.

They arnt even original and you think your some hot shot who just invented the wheel.

"Maybe....but we don't have any control over that do we? We can try to be sensitive to others and only post when we have something that resembles facts as opposed to just saying "BIG" or something like that".

Obviously you are from corporate and it's corporates why of doing damage control.

It's not posting this stuff that's upsetting. It's that it's actually been happening. Maybe the company should stop upsetting associates.

Honestly quit trying to upset associates. I don't know what kind of a thrill anyone could get out of that.

All we have now is ASM hardline who will run hardware, brand central and electronics. Also ASM sales support softlines and one lead and the store manager and we are supposed to be one of the "top" stores. So are they going to cut more associates? Would like to know since no one wants to tell us at the store level or district level.

This is legit they just cut Footwear MCA lead and Softlines MCA lead. I wonder if thats it on the cuts or if their is more cuts to come, but wow instead of getting rid of the actual useless ones they get rid of hard workers.

1kur-- I agree that they should just come clean and tell us what is going on, but...... here is the real deal... they (corporate) have no idea what the plan is, they have no idea what the next step is, they don't have a plan for a turnaround or transformation. Just think about all of the crazy, and sometimes good ideas, ideas that have come down from corporate to only disappear in a few months. Think of all the time spent on metrics and meetings, and reports that have nothing to do with customer service, a WOW member experience or anything else that might save the company.

There is no plan, there is no turnaround, there is no transformation. If you look at the financials it says that in legaleze and corporate speak. IT says that the decisions and forward looking statements are to benefit the shareholders (Eddie, Bruce and a few others) and not to benefit employees, customers or to even keep the company in business. Hope this helps to explain why it seems that there is no plan, it's because THERE IS NO PLAN!

Start looking for a job now if you are still employed here. It won't be around in a matter of months. Don't wait until someone tells you your job is gone.

Would not surprise me. Certain employees started "disappearing" off of wfm. I would hope it wouldn't be the ASMs at my store because I can't see my store manager being able to handle it all on their own.

It is such a shame that we continue to lay off/fire the associates that actually do work and not just stand around and collect a paycheck.

I do not want SHC "sink." This company has been nothing but good to me over the years.

It is sad that all the associates are constantly worried about our store closing and it has really lowered morale. It starts to take a toll on you when you are constantly worried about if you are going to have a job the next day.

If they would just come out and tell the employees what was going on it would be so much better than just playing this guessing game.

That is true. I don't know how many but I have heard it's a larger one than the smaller ones so far. If you observe what's happening around you, you will see the signs.
