What’s WFT’s cost reduction target?

As of March 31, 2017, Weatherford’s management has laid off 2,500 employees of the total planned reduction of 3,000. WFT also ceased operations in six manufacturing facilities in 1Q17. In fiscal 2016, it saved $601.0 million through employee reductions and manufacturing closures. Through these optimizations and restructuring, WFT believes it has transitioned to a lower cost base. CO real estate may be peaking, but this building is garbage and won't fetch a good price under any market conditions. Plus, Houston s---s donkey balls.

A technical job will pay in the 26.00 to 35.00 bracket with a supervisor even higher than that.

I'm a new hire and getting paid more than those who have been here for years. It's the way it falls sometimes so get over it. Would you expect anything else in this business ?

Somewhat disagree with the supervisor. A portion of who is left are those who are good soldiers, and comply with the sh--ty directives... the marginal ones. Some of the ones who were let go were the good ones, but didn't tow the company line, or were a threat. Then there's those of us who left when a good opportunity came along.

Some of those good who are still there will be leaving once their opportunity comes along. Right now it's all about survival for the employees and Weatherford. The real challenge of survival for Weatherford will be when there's an abundance of opportunity elsewhere for the workers... the workers never forget....

Weatherford is also now hiring some staff at a higher rate if pay than those who had their wages rolled back. Another slap in the face to the workers.

Please do not lump me into your generic description of management. I am a supervisor and believe that everyone that is no longer here is for a reason because they were the old weak links in the chain. The company needed to send them packing. Us left are the cream of the crop of the company.
