Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Any news from EMEA

It is remaining very quiet in a lot of countries in EMEA. (besides UK)

Is there any rumours about the WFR plans in other countries? Will some sites also be closed down?

I find not knowing - waiting for the storm - often worse then working through the storm and at least knowing what we are facing

I am also curious about Belgium, but have not heard anything yet - curious! Probably it is still under negotiation with the unions?

WFRs on the rise in Australia ... a mate of mine with 20+ years experience was given the flick. He is very happy to leave but his colleagues are fuming and waiting for their pink slip.

@@NFyjzM7-1vhn out of the areas which had been picked for VR as not all areas got the VR option those who agreed were told on the 1st if they had been accepted. capability managers had skype meetings with groups after a few day to say if they had met the target and if anyone else is to go. but no numbers on the amount that are going.

Not exactly sure the news in the UK&I is that forth coming either. DXC Announced Redundancies, with the opportunity to apply for VR before the end of May to begin the redundancy consultation on the 1st of June with the leaving date to be at the end of June. And thats the last we have heard about it, no numbers, no contact, no further communication - nothing!!

Its coming... its just that in the rest of the EU they have much stronger job protection than the UK.

Closing sites and cutting jobs is easy in the UK, less so in say Germany..

However, CSC Germany closed its largest site literally just before DXC with a massive job loss.

CSC France I believe are in the process of decomming a major site too.

You tend not to hear about this stuff though because they don't exactly broadcast it.

They said at the Investor Day back in March that the number of sites in EMEA would be reduced from 221 to 102, so yes, a number of sites will be closing.
